Project Information
The Larimer County Community Development Department, in cooperation with the Town of Wellington, is considering a legislative rezoning of all unincorporated properties within the area illustrated on the map to the right to the Growth Management Area (GMA) Overlay Zone District. The GMA overlay zone district will not change the existing zoning on affected properties, but shall be in addition to the existing zoning.
If approved, the GMA Overlay Zone District will require new development of properties within the defined area to adhere to the requirements of Article 2.7. Overlay Zone Districts within the Larimer County Land Use Code. The requirements of Article 2.7 are intended to foster cooperative planning between the Town of Wellington and Larimer County with the goal of achieving land use outcomes in alignment with the Town’s Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
